Founded in Ankara in 2005, BİTES Defense and Aerospace Technologies continues its activities at METU Teknokent Informatics Innovation Center in Ankara, and as of February 2019, it has joined ASELSAN subsidiaries with its partnership with ASELSAN. It offers innovative solutions to end users by combining its R&D activities and existing software experience for the applications of today's advanced technologies in Defense, Aerospace and Aerospace technologies. It focuses on product development, especially in situational awareness applications of "Augmented Reality" in the battlefield.
BİTES was invited to the Educational Technologies Conference organized by NATO Transformation Headquarters with its successful Augmented Reality solutions developed with national resources, and after presenting the technology solutions at the conference, it was deemed worthy of the "Best Education Solution" award with the votes of participants from various NATO member countries. BİTES was also listed among the 100 most important Simulation Companies in the world by Military Training Technology magazine, one of the leading Simulation and Training Industry publications in the USA, in 2014 and 2017, and was among the Deloitte Fast 50 Fastest Growing Technology Companies in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. The 500 list has registered its success by being among the top 500 in the TİM Service Exporters category in 2016.
