ARES Shipyard provides services in Antalya Free Zone with 5 air-conditioned production facilities, a total of 40,000 m² of which is a closed production area, a slipyard, metal, composite and carpentry workshops, paint ovens, training classrooms, modern office areas and a furniture factory. The Fast Patrol Boats and Offshore Patrol Ships Project, which was implemented to meet the needs of the Qatar Coast Guard Command with the contract signed between the Qatar Ministry of Internal Affairs and ARES in 2014, is the largest military ship export connection made in the Republic of Turkey with a single contract in its class. ARES 150 BOLD Offshore Patrol Ship, built for the Qatar Coast Guard Command, has the title of being the largest composite hulled military ship ever built in Turkey.
Following its entry into service, it became the fastest offshore patrol ship in the world. In addition, ARES 110 BOLD Fast Patrol Boat was selected as the Best Fast Patrol Boat of 2016 by an Australian-based publishing company; The organization selected ARES Shipyard as the "World's Best Patrol Boat Builder Shipyard" in 2016 in its publication of the same issue. Immediately afterwards, ARES Shipyard, which was selected as the first fastest growing company in Turkey in 2017 by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and is Turkey's largest ship exporter according to the export sales figures of the same year, T.R.
The High Speed Control Boat tender opened by the Presidency of Defense Industries for the Coast Guard Command was awarded. The largest mass production in the history of shipbuilding was achieved with the 188 High Speed Control Boat Project, which will operate in all coastal regions of Türkiye from Artvin to Hatay. The 14 ARES 85 BOLD Fast Patrol Boat Project signed by ARES Shipyard in the same period was the first military ship export to Oman in the history of the Republic of Turkey.
As a result of the R&D investments made with the company's equity capital, ULAQ series unmanned marine vehicles were produced within the scope of the Armed Unmanned Marine Vehicle project, which started in 2018 and is aimed to provide our country with superior capabilities in the field of naval warfare. With the Surface Warfare version, which is the first member and prototype of the family, in May 2021, under the auspices of the Ministry of National Defense and the Naval Forces Command, during the Sea Wolf-21 exercise, three guided missile launches were successfully carried out from an unmanned marine vehicle for the first time in world history. The Tactical Missile Control System, which can fire ROKETSAN-manufactured Cirit and L-Umtas missiles, on the prototype boat was removed and replaced with a domestically produced 12.7 mm Remote Controlled Stabilized Weapon System.
The actual gun firing of this system was successfully carried out in January 2022 with the participation of the Commander of the Azerbaijani Naval Forces, Admiral Subhan Bekirov. Different concepts are being tested on this boat and new weapons and systems are being tested in the facilities in Antalya.
