ETS‑Lindgren is a multinational organization built over decades through purposeful growth and strategic mergers that brought together deep expertise across RF, EMC, MRI, and wireless technologies. Officially formed in 1995 in Austin, Texas, the company united EMCO (The Electro-Mechanics Company), Rantec, and Ray Proof—each recognized for advancing its respective field—to create EMC Test Systems (ETS). Ray Proof established early benchmarks in medical X-ray shielding beginning in 1932, Rantec advanced anechoic absorber and microwave chamber technologies for military applications in the 1970s, and EMCO contributed foundational research in magnetic field and radio frequency science dating back to the 1960s. Together, these organizations formed a team of experts whose combined knowledge, innovation, and engineering rigor established the foundation for the company’s future growth.
