started its journey in Ankara in 1982 with the production of its own design, diving electro-erosion machines, and today it has turned into a versatile technology company producing in the fields of precision casting and access control systems. Makim, which started producing turnstile and barrier systems in 1994, has become one of Turkey's leading manufacturers in this field. In 2000, it continued its growth by investing in investment casting technology.
It has also been producing doner cutting equipment since 1994. Positioned as an extension of the electromechanical manufacturing process, this production line is within the company's many years of production experience. In 2007, KOBI A.Ş. It increased its production capacity with the partnership it established with and strategically focused on high value-added areas.
Makim is a technology company that offers advanced engineering and integrated solutions with its versatile production structure ranging from investment casting technologies to access control systems. The company continues its activities with a technology-centered approach and develops solutions for both industrial and medical fields. Makim, which started production in the field of investment casting in 2000, specializes in the production of medical and industrial parts.
It produces in areas that require high precision and quality, such as implants placed in the human body. Makim, which manages its production processes in accordance with international standards with the ISO 13485:2016 Quality Management System for Medical Devices certificate, exports precision casting products to many countries, especially Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the USA. On the access control systems side, Makim provides safe and efficient access management to public institutions, transportation infrastructures, stadiums and corporate facilities with turnstile and barrier solutions.
It manages all equipment and components used in these systems from production to trade. The company exports its products in this field to more than 70 countries. In line with the increasing demand and capacity need, Makim started to invest in a new investment casting factory in Ankara HAB OSB in 2021 and completed this investment in 2024; In October of the same year, it purchased its second factory to carry its electromechanical production activities for access control systems.
Makim, which continues its production activities in its new, completely modern and high-capacity facilities as of 2025, carries out all processes from R&D to design, machining and electronic production to assembly in an integrated manner within its own structure. Makim started to be traded on Borsa Istanbul as of June 17, 2022; It acts within the framework of the principles of transparency, continuity and corporate responsibility. Makim, with its R&D competence, integrated production infrastructure and multi-sector experience; While developing technologies that will meet not only today's needs but also the expectations of the future, it continues to be a solution partner that gives confidence to its business partners.
