Mersin Organized Industrial Zone; Our region, which was initially established in 1993 with 35 companies on an area of 380 hectares, operates in 3 (three) different regions on 823.5 hectares as of 2024, and the infrastructure works for the 4th Region are planned to start in 2024 and the infrastructure and superstructure works are planned to be completed in the first quarter of 2025. 260 ha, designated as the 5th Region simultaneously with the 4th Region. The site selection process of the area with a surface area of 1000 m2 is ongoing. Our region is a mixed OIZ; It continues its activities in 14 different sectors, mainly in steel construction, food, plastic, machinery, wood (furniture), chemistry and glass sectors.
Our additional area investments, MERSİNOSB 2nd Region, were put into operation in 2010 and MERSİNOSB 3rd Region as of 2021. Our region, which was 380 hectares when it was established, has reached an active surface area of 756 hectares by adding another 376 hectares of land to Mersin Organized Industrial Zone in the last 10 years. As the main sector in Mersin Organized Industrial Zone, which will continue its activities with the employment of approximately 32,000 people on 274 parcels, with the 4th Region, where infrastructure works will begin, becomes operational at full capacity; There are Iron and Steel Industry, Food Industry, Plastic Industry, Chemical Industry, Machinery Industry and Glass Industry. Mersin Organized Industrial Zone, which is located in an extremely advantageous location in terms of logistics facilities such as Mersin Port, airline and road, makes exports to every region of the world possible.
All parcels in the 4th Region, which is one of the additional area investments of Mersin Organized Industrial Zone, have been allocated to investors. Site selection studies for MERSİNOSB 5th Region, another additional investment area for which preparations have started simultaneously with the 4th Region, are continuing. New employment areas will be created with the commissioning of MERSİNOSB 5th Region, which is planned to be an area of 260 hectares.
