Aiming to enhance Türkiye’s indigenous and national capabilities in the defence sector and to deliver
advanced technological solutions, TÜBİTAK SAGE has been conducting innovative research and development
activities since 1972 to address the country’s strategic requirements. This effort is carried out in line with
its mission to provide the Turkish Armed Forces and the national defence industry with high value-added,
globally competitive, and nationally developed technologies, products, and services through research and
development.

Aligned with the mission of “National R&D for National Defence” TÜBİTAK SAGE minimizes reliance on foreign
defence technologies and provides the national defence ecosystem with advanced, high-value, cuttingedge
systems. With expertise in guidance kits, smart munitions, missile systems, test and measurement
laboratories, energetic materials, critical subsystems, and advanced defence technologies, TÜBİTAK SAGE
strengthens Türkiye’s defence capability through original design, prototyping, testing, and production
activities as the country’s leading defence R&D institution.
