Since its founding in 1981, Empa Elektronik has been offering a comprehensive technological solution supply service, including all marketing, sales, logistics, and financial services necessary for electronic component distribution. The company aims to act as a process accelerator in every innovation within the sector. In its first 15 years, EMPA, with its in-house R&D team, organized pioneering technology workshops in Turkey, produced the first TSE-standard local computer, and developed the first TV remote control software, contributing significantly to the development of the domestic electronics industry.

Since 2000, EMPA has emerged as a regional technical distributor in the Turkish and Middle Eastern markets, playing a vital role in technology supply for the aerospace and defense industries, particularly through its investments in FPGA and electromechanics. With its entry into the TESID Board of Directors, EMPA also spearheaded the “Great Leap” documentary and launched the empa:::tech university programs.

With the establishment of the IoT department in 2016, projects that bridged the IT and electronics industries were initiated in response to Turkey’s needs in the internet of things market. In response to the rapid developments in this field, Empa Teknoloji was founded in 2018 at ITU ARI Teknokent. “Hexasense,” the smart hive tracking platform developed by Empa Teknoloji as a technopark project, became the first NB-IoT application in Turkey in this field and deepened EMPA’s R&D activities with its sensor, cloud, and edge AI components. In 2023, Empa Teknoloji merged with Empa Elektronik, and the accumulated experience enriched EMPA's technology supply service by supporting "Accelerator Workshop" and PoC initiatives.

Our e-commerce site, empastore.com, was launched to provide faster supply support to an increasing number of customers and their designs as a result of digitalization, offering a wide range of products and experienced engineering support. Additionally, empa.com has been redesigned with a user-friendly interface, offering information and updates on our activities, selected industry news, and the opportunity to engage in knowledge exchange by asking questions to our expert teams.

Today, we take pride in being part of the innovations brought about by the great digital revolution in industries such as aerospace, defense, industrial electronics, e-mobility, home appliances, smart energy, and LED lighting. As Empa Elektronik, in addition to offering a wide range of products including semiconductors, power electronics, electromechanical components, and other solutions, we contribute to the acceleration of R&D and production processes through our engineering expertise and software support in areas such as embedded systems, edge AI, and cloud-IoT.
