Poliset was established in Istanbul in 1981. After conducting research abroad on the applications and production techniques of composite materials, which were not widely used in Turkey at that time, the company began manufacturing in various sectors, primarily energy and automotive.

As a result of its research and development efforts, the company has incorporated aerodynamic auto accessories into its product range, complying with German TÜV standards. Committed to unique product design and high quality, Poliset has proven its capability to produce at world standards through successful collaborations with companies such as Siemens, Vitra, ToyotaSA, Ford Otosan, Mazda Motor, Honda Turkey, Nissan, TemSA, Opel, Suzuki, Subaru Baytur, Hyundai Assan, and Daihatsu.

Poliset, which manufactures spare parts for light rail transport vehicles for Istanbul Ulaşım A.Ş., established its Rail Transport Division in 2006. For the past two years, it has successfully produced and exported driver, passenger, and exterior parts for Bombardier’s light rail transport vehicles.

Since 2006, Poliset has been producing ballistic plates primarily for the defense industry. In 2012, the company expanded its capabilities by adding Turkey's largest and most powerful pultrusion machine to its operations, enabling it to also start manufacturing profiles for water cooling towers.
