PRESIDENCY OF THE REPUBLIC OF TÜRKİYE SECRETARIAT OF DEFENCE INDUSTRIES
Secretariat of Defence Industries was founded in 1985 as "Defence Industry Development and Support Administration Office", which was later restructured as "Undersecretariat for Defence Industries" in 1989, in compliance with the objective of defining and applying the policies regarding the establishment of the infrastructure of defence industry in Türkiye. With the regulation in 2017, the Undersecretariat affliated to the Presidency of Republic and renamed as "Presidency of Republic of Türkiye Defence Industry Agency" in 2018 and currently"Presidency of Republic of Türkiye Secretariat of Defence Industries" in 2024. Secretariat of Defence Industries presently conducts over 750 projects, continuing its efforts on developing a modern defence industry and ensuring the development and modernization of Turkish Armed Forces (TSK). Within this direction, the Secretariat conducts the activities on project development, supporting and developing the indigenous defence industry, exporting the products of defence industry and raising human sources for defence industry.
