Aluminium Test Training and Research Center (ALUTEAM) was established within the scope of a project initiated at Aluexpo in 2011 through the partnership of Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University and the Entrepreneurial Aluminium Industrialists and Business People Association, and commenced its operations in 2013 with the support of the Istanbul Development Agency (ISTKA).
Adopting an integrated approach to testing, training, research, and additive manufacturing activities, ALUTEAM delivers high value-added solutions by combining the research capacity of academia with the production experience of industry. Thanks to this structure, the center has a dynamic framework capable of responding to sectoral needs in a fast and effective manner.
Within the center, comprehensive testing services are provided for various industries and across all alloy series. Training activities are designed in line with current industry needs, and vocational training programs are offered with a strong emphasis on practical applications. Non-profit training programs dedicated to the aluminum sector are regularly organized to promote knowledge sharing and support sectoral development.
Research and development activities are focused on needs identified through industry demands and detailed analyses. In this context, ALUTEAM provides guidance to companies on cost effective production methods in line with high-quality standards, leveraging its expertise and technical infrastructure, and contributes to new product development processes.
Through investments in additive manufacturing technologies, a significant production and research capacity—particularly in aluminum—has been established in our country. In addition to aluminum, various steel and industrial plastic materials can be produced with high precision. Furthermore, studies aimed at improving material and process parameters within both conventional and advanced manufacturing technologies are successfully carried out within the center.
