Since its establishment, the Kocaeli-Gebze VI. (İMES) Machine Specialized Organized Industrial Zone has rapidly developed into a large machine cluster, home to businesses with an annual export capacity of approximately $2 billion. Our 377-hectare zone is home to a total of 363 companies, including 38 foreign-owned firms, operating in sectors such as machinery, machinery ancillary industries, iron and steel, automotive ancillary industries, plastic injection, heat treatment, and glass manufacturing. The number of people employed in our region is 20,150, the occupancy rate of the region is 98%, and 42 of our companies are currently under construction.

We conduct regular inventory studies every year to increase the corporate maturity levels of our companies, enable them to carry out high value-added manufacturing, and contribute to their exports. We attach importance to developing and utilizing the information we obtain from our inventory studies. Based on our two inventory reports, which analyze the employment, export, and manufacturing activities of our businesses, we have developed important projects that will benefit our companies. In an atmosphere where digital transformation in industry is accelerating globally, we have recently created an inventory report with our valued industrialists, aimed at determining the readiness levels of our businesses in the technological transformation process.
