Lucas Elektrik San. And Trade. Inc. It was founded in 1982 by the partnership of Lucas Industries Plc., Mehmet Sakallıoğlu and Nirun Sahingiray.
In those years, the company produced Lucas Type A115, A127 Alternators and M113 (M45) and M127 (M50) Starter Motors with the assembly of sub-parts, most of which were imported from Lucas England. As a result of intensive localization work carried out in a short time, the company was able to produce all the important parts in its own facilities. Unlike many other Lucas factories abroad, Lucas original designs are 100% faithful and all sub-parts are produced with Lucas Original Part numbers and with the same quality and features, which can be replaced exactly.
Following the merger of Lucas with Varity in 1996, the new group decided to withdraw from Starter Motor and Alternator manufacturing activities on a global scale, and the shares of the British partners were purchased by the Sakallıoğlu Family, and in this process, all rights to use the "LucasElektrik" brand were acquired by the company. In 1998, following the transition to modern production facilities consisting of a closed area of 7500 m2 and a total area of 26 500 m2, the existing product range was expanded with the license agreements made with South Korean Mando and Japanese Mitsubishi companies, and the production of products suitable for passenger vehicles began. In addition to its OE activities, which account for approximately 50% of its turnover, the company has also become a specialist and global supplier of Starter Motors and Alternators, with a customer network spread over more than 40 countries around the world.
Today, Lucas Elektrik A.Ş. It aims to continuously grow with the power it receives from its experienced and qualified team in its modern production facilities.
