About
Yeşilay is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that works to protect society and youth from harmful habits without discrimination, based on human dignity and respect. It combats addictions such as tobacco (cigarettes), alcohol, drugs, technology, and gambling, while upholding national and moral values and using scientific methods. It conducts preventive and rehabilitative public health and advocacy work. The Turkish Yeşilay Society is a public benefit NGO that aims to protect society, especially youth, from all kinds of addictions, based on human dignity and respect. As the only NGO that simultaneously and holistically combats five different types of addiction – alcohol, tobacco, drugs, gambling, and internet addiction – Yeşilay carries out prevention, rehabilitation, and advocacy activities based on scientific principles. With its widespread organizational structure throughout the country, the Turkish Yeşilay Society reaches all segments of society through its 120 branches in Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
