MOTA Power Systems was established in Eskişehir Technology Development Zone in 2018 to develop special solutions for the power system needs of the defense industry, especially unmanned aerial vehicles. MOTA continues its activities in 3 different areas: i) It continues to work on small-sized, high-power density internal combustion engines, electric motors and generators, and hybrid solutions where these systems are presented as an integrated power package. ii) 3 different projects were started for the development of UAV engine subsystems / accessories, 2 of these projects were successfully completed and the products started to be used on UAV systems.
iii) MOTA, which acts as the mechanical design subcontractor of the critical subsystems of one of the most important test infrastructures of the domestic defense industry, continues its project activities for different test systems with the expertise it has developed in this field. Company founder Erhan Bilgiç led the establishment of the team that successfully developed Türkiye's most important UAV engine development projects between 2008 and 2018, under the umbrella of TEI (Tusaş Motor Sanayii A.Ş.), and the development of UAV engines, which are the first for the country. In September 2018, he left his job at TEI and founded MOTA Power Systems with the aim of developing innovative and competitive products in line with the country's needs.
The goal of MOTA Power Systems is to be an indispensable partner for domestic needs in critical engine accessory systems and small-sized power systems needed in the Defense and Aviation field, and to add high added value to the country's economy by exporting products with innovative and competitive features abroad.
