Turkish Defense and Aerospace Industry Manufacturers Association (SASAD) was founded in 1989 with the incentives and support of the Ministry of National Defense by 12 industrialists working in the sector at the time. Taking into account the developments in 2012, it started to represent this sector by including civil aviation sector players.
