TÜBİTAK, with its 2 research centres and 11 institutes, is one of Türkiye’s leading institutions in a wide range of fields, from aviation and artificial intelligence to cybersecurity and metrology. With more than 60 years of experience, it supports cooperation among industry, universities and the public sector, and promotes the production of knowledge and technology through national and international programmes. Through its R&D activities carried out in strategic fields, TÜBİTAK plays a significant role in Türkiye’s development. Defence industry, aviation and space are among the areas in which TÜBİTAK is particularly strong. Through the technologies it develops in these fields, it contributes to Türkiye achieving worldwide successes.
TÜBİTAK not only develops the technologies of today but also makes strategic investments in the human capital that will carry these technologies into the future. In line with the objectives of the National Technology Initiative, it brings science together with all segments of society through platforms such as the DENEYAP Technology Workshops, science centres and TEKNOFEST, the world’s largest aviation festival. By engaging young talents in scientific processes at an early age and supporting qualified researchers through scholarship and support programmes, TÜBİTAK continues to strengthen Türkiye’s technology-oriented human resources.
