Türk Loydu was established by the most important institutions of Turkey in 1962 for the purpose of achieving technical progress in both maritime and industry sectors and implementation of international standarts.

Türk Loydu was established by The Chamber Of Naval Architects And Marine Engineers with valuable contributions from various stakeholders, such as the Insurance Association Of Turkey, The Union Of Chambers And Commodity Exchanges Of Turkey, The Chamber Of Shipping, The İstanbul Chamber Of Industry, The Union Of Chambers Of Turkish Engineers And Architects, The Turkish Ship Owners’ Association, The Turkish Shipbilders’ Association and The Boiler And Pressure Vessel Manufacturers’ Association.

Furthermore, Türk Loydu plays an active role in shaping the future by being a close follower of global developments in the maritime and industrial sectors from the moment the rules and standarts start being established, and updating its stakeholders on the latest developments on a continual basis.

Today, Türk Loydu is an internationally-recognized organization providing wide range of classification and conformity assesssment services including ship classification, product and personnel certification, inspection services, notified body activities, 3rd party inspection services, management system certification services and training services in various fields.
